My husband and I have now worked with Darby not once, not twice (technically) but THREE times. 1) our engagement photos 2) our wedding 3) our first anniversary/first home photos.
On the first day of meeting Darby, for our engagement shoot, we were blow away by her personable abilities and making my camera shy husband feel like a natural. She gave us direction but also let’s be ourselves and really show who we are through photos. Darby put us at ease and spoke to us like we were normal, regular human beings. Our interactions didn’t rushed or strictly business or simply a give and take. Our experience mattered and the photos we wanted to receive mattered just as much to her as it did us. Darby is a joy to be around, so bubbly and so passionate about capturing these moments. Her attention to detail and little moments she finds are really what keeps us coming back. Not normally what she advertises to shoot, but when I contacted her about a first anniversary/first home sesh she was all over it!

I had been following Darby on Instagram for a while, and after getting engaged, I knew that her work could tell the story of my wedding day in a way that I could only dream of. Darby is just lovely as a person, an incredible communicator and business woman, kind beyond belief, and on top of it all, the most talented photographer I have ever met! I have never been comfortable in front of a camera, but Darby so naturally was able to make me feel like a beautiful bride and calm as could be on my wedding day. Our wedding photos turned out more amazing than I could have ever expected! Darby traveled to our destination wedding in Italy. She was so professional and kind and easy going throughout the whole process leading up to the wedding and while we were there. It made the day of the wedding so easy for me and took so much stress off knowing she was making sure thinks were getting captured but also helping us stay on schedule. All of our family and friends had the most amazing things to say about their interactions with her and literally came up to me after the wedding talking about “how great our photographer was” !!! It was just like having one of my friends taking pictures and hanging out with us. I could go on and on but if you’re reading this & thinking should I go with Darby- the answer is YES !!
